A million dollars is a lot of money. It took me about 18 years to earn a total of a million dollars. That was starting under the Mal-administration under which people on average weekly earnings paid 46% tax while ceos and rich people paid zero tax due to outrageous fringe benefits and capital gains rorts.

Of course in Australia if you work 15 or 20 years to earn a million dollars you are deemed rich and pay heaps of tax, and if you inherit it you are not rich and don't pay a cent. The people who think money should just be splashed around either have too much money or not enough, either way they are probably not taxpayer.
