I'm not very familiar with this shorting data - am I right that this says 97% of the volume traded last Friday was shorted?
Does it say anything about how much of the buying was short trades being closed? Ie. is the 97% a net shorts? I might be over confusing things...

It says a lot if 97% of the day's volume was shorting - suggests that the register is firmer than the sliding SP indicates and means all those shorts will have to be undone if we start to move north. I'd like to know the figure for longer period - where can I get that? Thanks
