you did critise him apologising about the PAST. I was just pointing out the fallacy of your statement. One can only apologise for something that had happened (i.e., the PAST). So, why should you have a problem with that ?
I am not talking about whether one agrees with the substance of the apology. I am talking about your criticism of him apologising about the PAST, and my point is that one can only apologise about something that had happned and I was wondering out loud that you might perhaps have found a way for someone to apologise for something that has yet to happen :-)
