    Salty,

Show me my post where I stated Nido would be $1.00 by the end of 2007...you will not be able to because I never predicted or said that, and it would be good if you did not infer that I did.
Please do not confuse me with other posters, and please do not lump the posters who bag and brown nose management in my camp either!

I do not have access to forward rig bookings...not everybody who used to work in the industry does you know, and I'm not about to subscribe to any organisation just so I can have that info.
As some of the others here suggested, why don't you enlighten us with your knowledge...you can beat the co. announcement and make a legend of yourself in the process. If in fact a rig is booked for 3Q08, are you sure it's a firm contract and not just pencilled in? Anyway, if it is 3Q, as I said before, I couldn't be happier...imo!

Seeing as you raised the subject of predictions, what I did predict in May 2007 was that the Nido shallow reefs in SC54 would be lucky to be drilled by this time next year(2008).
I further predicted then that the KIK (then YGL) sp would be down in the mid teens. Just to refresh your memory, here's a bit of what was said...

From the YGL (now KIK) threads in May 2007.

was thinking the same - this one needs to track NDO a lot closer as NDO is also looking great.
Oppies continue to be excellent value and leverage

NDO is getting leverage from being a near term decent producer with Galoc.
YGL's production debut is quite some time away yet!

It wouldn't surprise me to see it drop back to mid teens.
I think we're just seeing a bit of a "eureka spike" here!

There has been plenty of hinting in recent announcemnets that the shallow Nido pinnacles in SC54 could be drilled quickly. You would be brave to assume that YGL will not be producing oil in the not too distant future.

Hinting eh....selling might be more like it!

Gryph, how quickly do you think quickly is in this game?

Didn't they "hint" at the 2006 AGM that there would be a ROD/s happening by July/Aug 06?
Arttse (now SP3) and Sandy might beg to differ, and say they actually SAID a ROD would be underway by then!

Do they have any known oil columns in these shallow pinnacle reefs, or do they need to do some exploration holes first?
It'd be a bit of a bummer to order up development well-heads and all the other kit for a dry hole?

In their own words, "Detailed technical and engineering work will be conducted over the next few months to determine the commerciality of these features."

Then, assuming they have some commerciality, they'll have to decide what to drill, but to drill (especially development), you need quite a few long lead items ordered up, not the least of which is a rig!

I could go on, but I'm sure you're getting the drift.

I'll state right here, "there won't be any development drilling on these reefs before this time next yr. In fact, I'll be surprised if there's ANY sort of drilling on them by this time next yr!"

Good luck with your latest prediction Strat. LOL , if you make enough of them (as you have regularly calling YGL lower as it rockets) you are bound to get one right ....imo.

    Cheers,

    SALTY

The management of YGL are true professionals. They wil be working to leverage the assets they have to the benefit of shareholders. It is clear that SC54 is full of potential assets, some already drilled (Coron), others basic copies of well known and developed fields (Nido fields). Sure the availaibility of rigs and equipment might be a problem but if there is a way these guys will find it - do not underestimate their ability (and connections). It is your call but if they announce tomorrow that they are going to drill the Nido reefs soon you will be disaapointed you do not have stock.

Furthermore some quantitive analysis will be forthcoming on the identified leads in SC54. We have only had one target quantified, there are many, many more - some could be huge. Much to come on this stock me thinks.

Salty, would you like me to repost the posts made when YGL was .155, .16 (about mid 06), and you and Raks and Billy et al were urging myself and many others to jump aboard the YGL express "cause it was never gonna be at these levels again."

My reply was, I wouldn't buy it until it came back to the .10 level. Even gave you my reason then - "eureka spike".
Boy, did I get howled down, ".10, ha, in ya dreams buddy," or words to that effect.

About 2 mths after I made that prediction, it fell to .092!
Yeah, I know, it's different this time!

Like I said to you then, the "eureka STRATegy" (a word you coined from that exchange), is a tool used by many institutional investors in the resources sector.

You should remember this one - HDR, .35 to 1.20 odd and back to .35, but they had actually drilled a hole, ......or should I say WPL had!

Gryphon1, I am already well covered for any developments that happen in SC54.....and SC58....and SC14.....and SC6B......and Cool Energy etc.

If you're main man pulls a rig out of his hat, and the shallow reef pinnacles in SC54 do happen to get developed before this time next yr, I'll be VERY happy with that!

Salty, on the NDO threads you asked me what I thought about the development of the shallow reef pinnacles.
One of my thoughts was.....lots of targets, close proximity, good candidate for multiple umbilicals to a single uptake riser feeding a single FPSO. If this scenario came to pass, it wouldn't happen o'night, and probably not within a yr!

Gee, that was a very interesting re-read, even if I say so myself...imo of course!
