'Manipulated' or 'managed'. I far prefer managed although to many it is only semantics.
The SP has been managed at this level for over six months now with only a few short lived exceptions.
This management of the SP would not be possible if the market was either bubbling over with confidence or trembling with anxiety re the short to medium term future. Even the $4 exclusivity negotiation agreement has not changed this fact. We can all jump up and down about it but that doesn't change the reality.
Nothing clandestine here, just the major players controlling the SP because the general market is either too stupid or too wise to force their hand one way or the other.
