"Provided they don't grind the faces of the poor
(with things like AWAs instead of collective
bargaining) I'm a believer in 'Free Markets'."
Interesting Graham that you do not consider 'individual' freedom of choice any value.
Why must it be collective?
Union thuggery is collective (or at least purports to be...for the common good...blah blah)...is that where you want us to go back to?
Yet I fail to see how the common good can be achieved with your 'free market' approach to immigration.
It would be beneficial to the border crossers no doubt but at what cost?
Legitimate refugees are obviously a diffent case entirely.
Some of your previous analogies have been quite graphic (dingoes on a fence etc)
The people wanted the government to do something about the hordes of boat loads of illegals coming in.
Have the detention centres proved a deterent?
Perhaps so...have they been tardy in processing people...absolutely.
Has it been deliberate?
Don't know but possibly.
I don't think your solution is feasable or workable or in fact acceptable to the majority of Australians but kudos to you for thinking outside the square.
