Your right BB is doing good things but my ? is, could he and many of his other fellow head D's do even better. We have always relied on exporting rocks at the expense of much more intelligent sphere's of economic interest at great expense to this nation of its reputation as anything other than something of an eager consumer of much 'smarter' nations goods/exports.

Our mining industry is managed by a bunch of local & non-local Billionaire cum oligarch's who decline to pay taxes other than what they would prefer [almost nil RIO TINTO US hav payed non for years]
-otherwise these gina rhineharts of the world claim it will be bad for jobs. What jobs a few tradies and labourers lucky enuf to get a job in our mining industry much in the hands of foreign big business and mining players that are increasingly becoming automated. anyway

I suggest our governments both lib/lab need to be increasing the taxes these companies pay and that this is the only way this nation will ever get them to look into value-adding, because doin 'simple' just is not profitable either for these so-called mining oligarch's and the mining companies they run or the common tax-payer of this nation [which increasingly seeks to import cheap 3rd world workers or otherwise backpackers from elsewhere as way of aiding their profits].

A Resource Tax imo will in the end force slack company CEO's historically much obliged to enriching other non-Australian shareholders [particularly British ones] into enriching this country by going a bit further by value-adding and enriching Australia both culturally as well economically[ cultural enrichment is not only achieved by replacing one race of ppl with another].
-Just my thoughts and opinion, yes I do think BB is doing well as expected for an aussie CEO. But why not do even better because let's face it the real winner here is the Korean's who DO NOT HAVE ANY LITHIUM, COBALT OR NICKEL IN GREAT ABUNDANCE?

[might BB have suggested to ski that investigating the future potential of initiating a battery industry here might also be an interesting possibility or was he intimidated by the common experience of Australian industry stewardship into thinking that his country is not capable of higher streams of mining economics- [check Scandinavian countries small but uber smart&strong culturally-economically not subservient to anyone nation whether it be china, Britain US or wherever, Australia IS].

still happy for auz but would be happier if it's directors thought outside the square just a little.

    nevertheless luck2holders!
