I know exactly what you mean. We are struggling with it atm. M-i-l is dangerous. But her arrogant GP (who, of course, has never driven with her) insists she is fine, at 87. F-i-l, however, same age, is excellent. Reflexes of an 18 y/o. Eyesight perfect.

Having said that, there have people of all ages whom I would have got in M-i-l’s car rather than driven with them. It’s not an easy one, picking on one age group isn’t the answer imo.
