To everyone who has posted on the VRE thread since Jun 07.

This is my first post on HC. I have always been grateful and appreciative to be able to log on to this great forum and read people's balanced views on View (excuse the pun).

Up until now I have been more than happy to read what other people have had to say without posting, as I felt I did not have the experience nor the factual knowledge.

View resources was my first large purchase of a stock. I purchased approx. 100,000 shares back in June 07 and sold out at 24 cents in November 07 at a large loss by my standards.

I have learnt a LOT since June, and have hopefully learnt the error of my ways, including ignoring a blatant downward trending chart, and ignoring the consideration of the use of stop-losses or averaging down.

The reason I am placing my first post is due to the absolute abuse that "Chops a Must" has been getting.

All I want to say is that i firmly believe that the majority of people on this forum wanted a fair and balanced view from as many people as possible in order to make judgements about whether to buy or sell this stock.

When I first started following the VRE thread, quite literally just about every poster was very intelligently saying how great this companies potential was.

And yes they were of course just going on mostly announcements put out by the VRE management, which we now know cannot be trusted.

I listened to the lengthy and informative factual posts by WRXSTI and the reassuring posts by Jo Jo from Sydney, I listened to mookie11 and grahod, and you know what...no where could I find someone who was willing to actually look at VRE in a cynical, critical, negative and suspicious way in order to provide the other side of the coin.

When I read all the posts on a weekly basis, i thought wow, this stock sounds great, and yes although i am completely responsible for my own actions and decisions, my hopes for VRE were sky high.

It wasn't until a poster called Chops a Must posted his first post since I had starting following HC that I even began to entertain the negative aspects of VRE.

In fact over the following months I began to rely on Chops a Must to have a good look at the downside of this stock, particularly the downward trending chart which was starting to teach me things in itself.

So I for one would like to say "Thanks Chops". If it were not for your continual and persistent posts even while copping absurd amounts of abuse which became quite personal at times, if it were not for you I would not have considered selling at 24 cents.

CHOPS A MUST you indirectly by way of your posts managed to save me $11,000! This is the difference between what I sold for and the current price of VRE. Of course if current shareholders receive nothing back then Chops you have saved me $24,000.

The reason why I have come to the defence of someone I don't even know, who for all intensive purposes may very well be someone who I have no interest in knowing in person, or who's day time /night time profession might be one that some seem to want to laugh at is very simple.

We need posters like Chops a Must!

Yes mookie11 I completely agree that if you have found something that someone has posted that turns out to be incorrect then absolutely pick them up on it and question them in public, but to all these posters who want to seriously waste their precious time becoming very nasty, abusive and personal, I say please stop wasting mine and everyone else's time who regularly reads HC.

This forum is supposed to be for people to get together and provide balanced, informative, intelligent opinion, views, facts, whatever.

This forum is not for completely immature, mindless abuse, especially directed at the ONLY person willing to take a look at VRE through not-so-rosy coloured glasses for almost the last year and put up with a ridiculous amount of garbage from some people.

Chops I would like to say thank you. Keep up your continual and relentless posts as there are a lot of people like me who appreciate reading them, but are not necessarily interested, able or willing to place a post on this forum to tell you so.

To everyone else.. I have appreciated your posts equally and a sincere Good Luck to all current holders, I really do hope you get something back.
