Hi All from a sunny and warm Vancouver, where Mrs OOO and I are enjoying a break from ... well, nothing actually given we are retired! No World Cup excitement in this land of non-qualification.

FAR has become very important to Senegal in a relationship that extends well beyond a ‘tenant’ agreement. Equally, FAR is very fond of the nation and its people and genuinely wishes to contribute to its prosperity and social cohesion.

None of that is doing our business any harm (he said in famous understatement). I have no doubt Macky Sall has opened doors for us in Senegal and The Gambia, to the point where FAR and its fabulous geos are the most sought-after partner in the West African basin. Already the basin’s largest ‘landowner’, you would not bet against FAR securing even more of the upcoming leases. We do, after all, bring the Midas touch, with four separate
discoveries and 11/11 successful wells. IMO that means we don’t necessarily need to be the best-priced bidder because we are already the best-proven bidder. No one can guarantee a better job than we’ll do.
