When I first bought my pc I borrowed books from the library to read up on clues. I remember the warning by one writer to never use flour to thicken anything or when browning meat before putting in pc as it inevitably burns. I took the chance of those apricots and bought them diced. They absorbed the nectar and burnt. I sometimes brown steak before putting into pc but not chicken. It came out nicely cooked after 30 mins.
Do you have electric pc. Mine is a gas top so up to me to regulate it.
