Tesla just revealed at their recent shareholder meeting that they will achieve $100/kWH at the cell level and the same at the pack level in 2020. That's a halving in 4 years and likely 5 years ahead of any other producer.

This has been achieved through the necessity to produce an affordable car, squeezing every single $ out of every component, and then having $$ & technology to build a factory of this scale - Elon Musk has thrown everything into this.

IMO no other manufacturer can compete with this because they have to generate a profit from this......panasonic are willing to take the risk because in 3-4 years they are going to be THE premium supplier to anyone wanting a battery.

Just sold down 40% of my stake.....I'll take the tax loss, but still waiting for an update on Nachu!
