despite claims that the single use plastic bags are used again as bin liners etc - well that might be true for some of the bags, but not too many.

seriously - people who go shopping - get a trolley load of goods from the one store (ie do their total weekly shopping in the one hit) - then walk out with the goods in about 20 bags - well they are wanton wasters.

for a minimum of 25 years , watso knows that he has done his best to reuse, and reuse and reuse the single use plastic bag for shopping.

if people were as careful with their use of the single use plastic bags as what watso is, then the matter would not be a problem.

years ago, when watso was in eastern europe - people looked after the plastic bags - because they had to pay for them.

anyway, watso is all in favour of banning the bags . aldi shoppers do not seem to have any problems .

oh - watso still has a string bag - maybe they could make a come back.... mmm string bag, string bikinis - all good.

talking about aldi - but the aldi trolleys also seem to go back to their destination .. watso recalls a long time ago, that some shops tried the present day aldi system, but it must have failed, as watso cannot see it any more
