But folks compared to the same time last year in US$ 5773, now at US$6801, but converted to then and now levels of the $A, the comparison is about A$7,550 and now, A$ 9,150 about a 20% increase. $A q. sensitive to commodity prices, so when things like gold drop so does the $A, protecting the $A returns of the miners. After all, that's the currency their costs are in. Me thinks drop an over reaction to a trifle, but that's markets for you.
