NKP is beginning to look like VRE. It had lots of gold and the gold price was high, yet it is now in administration.
VRE also sold an asset to raise more cash. The problem is you cannot keep burning money if you are not bringing it in. Assets produce returns. Liabilities add to costs. Like you I am wondering waht is going on with NKP.
