Yes - SKI is big but it has made mistakes - as do all the big players sometimes. There are no certainties in markets.

I lost a heap a few years back being over-confident in the prospects of a company whose chairman was a leading commercial barrister and Rhodes Scholar and whose largest shareholder was also a Rhodes Scholar, Chairman of the AFL and on the board of Rio. For all their commercial acumen and relevant experience, the company failed dismally. And its not an isolated event. Be wary about putting your faith in 'big guys' and ALWAYS remember that what is apparent is not necessarily real.

As we now find out with BB's responses to the ASX - with respect to the financing deal.

Given this further credibility embarrassment, together with the reality that the BFS is now mentioned in the same bracket as 30 September (despite recent assurances about being on track for end of June) and the CLQ/sector wide 'effect', you would have to think the stock will get slammed over the next few days.

Having said that, I would expect AUZ to do well in the long term as long as Ni keeps going up and Co does not fall too much (as supply and competition come on stream).

It is still a very high risk investment - despite its significant potential - but this is just not reflected in the majority of HC posting which often verges on the ludicrous (in terms of wishful thinking and shooting the messenger). The 'get rich quick' mentality never abates. Not to mention the 'herd' mentality and falling in love with stocks. Hard headedness is of value in these environments.
