Livewire article was pretty good and showed some facts to back it up. I'm reading on HC a lot of 'feelings' about health care and patient care that aren't backed with data.
I don't see the public health space chasing privately funded customers as a good government strategy moving forward. We need a strong private health care sector to relieve burden on the public , not increase reliance long term on the public sector, or have it expanding due to increase private treatment at public facilities.
But as the government chases revenue from private patients for the public system, that isn't good news for Ramsay. Add in increased private health care premiums, high extra out of pocket expenses for private patients and a retreat from private health care coverage in general
