way i see it guys is that the directors needed to tidy up the wording on their options to ensure they enjoyed their full entitlement under any takeover/merger arrangement ....
now why would they need to do this so soon after agm if there is not the hint of just that sort of play unfolding and thus creating the urgency to get it sorted ???
under such a scenario i could very well see some friendlies ensuring just enough shares are released to keep the sp from going anywhere for the time being. i just wonder if that selling pressure may well disappear then from next week.
not saying this is the case. But i think much of the hinted at corporate action for UMC will have a green light from Friday. Now what that brings ... who knows?
One thing I do know however, if they ultimately prove up a 150mt resource at railway ... who sees this sitting under $1 into next year ... nup, not me.
