Umm...So Australia should not suddenly adopt a single currency and market and government with all the Pacific nations. I must be reading the wrong papers.

I mean it only took Europe approximately 30 years of the EEC/EU before entry into a common currency. I can understand your concerns that Australia is going to rush headlong into a similar situation.
