Been saying for months it will take years not weeks to fully commercialise HX

I think people do not understand fully what it takes to get a machine into a production line of a CAT

The testing FBR are doing is only a pre lim if CAT do end up building the machines on a line -there will be at least a 12-24 month testing phase by them before the commit a line to a machine not yet proven or one they have no sales for .

Talk here of 600 machines a year that size production line is not huge in CAT terms but they have a very extensive R N D program on all new machinery lines like JD

I remember the latest self propelled 40-60 JD sprayer took about 4 years from concept to mass production

Then you had to go on a dealer delivery wait list of 6 months to get one

I’ve dealt a lot in Agriculture machinery over 2 decades in my life new machines in any industry is s long drawn out process

I don’t see mass HX on our streets or on OS streets for some years

I do see it one day probably in another form on tracks new better design increased tech -all over the world

FBR have a great invention CAT can come in make it a better version than the pivacs ever can

Typical of most Aussie inventions tweeked by the lead manufacturer Hills Hoist classic example

FBR have done the hard yards but they need someone else to improve it add things that the pivacs may not know is possible for HX

You have some of the best engineers in the world at CAT no disrespect to the pivacs but there are probably boffins coming out of uni in the US who have easy solutions to what they see as big problems

This is how fast education in A1 and Robotics is moving yesterday’s nasa aero nautical engineers are just that - just like a new breed of surgeons coming out of medical school at Harvard -light years ahead of 20 year veteran surgeons -in terms of new tech in medicine

We can’t do this alone guys forget it won’t happen
