In terms of market cap'n per oz resources, SBM are only bettered by NGF for pure Australian plays.
NGF 70
SBM 83
IAU 99
TRY 220
NCM 285
TAM 317
DOM 468
HEG 1476
and
CTO 26
RSG 49
BMO 70
If you know the companies on the list you will realise that this ratio isn't the ultimate measure - BMO have been in receivership once, VRE's ratio was 110 before they went bust. CTO have a vague resource of 10m oz. RSG are half Oz and half Africa. HEG are chasing the high grade veins (as are CTO), which are notoriously difficult to get JORC resources for (and can be notoriously difficult to mine, too, CRS, BDG).
BUT, if you are looking to compare reasonably substantial producers I think it is a good place to start. TAM will never really figure as they have too many shares on issue (1,232,000,000) unless they can find a lot more gold.
If I've missed any, please let me know.
