SYDNEY, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Australian shares fell 1.3 percent on Thursday as fresh credit concerns prompted investors to book profits after three straight days of gains, while Suncorp-Metway Ltd (SUN.AX
Australian indices International indices .AXJO , 5655.2, -112, -1.9%) fell 77.1 points to 5,690.1 by 0047 GMT, after rising a total of 3.7 percent in the previous three sessions.
New Zealand's benchmark NZX-50 index <.NZ50> rose 0.8 percent, or 29.40 points, to 3,591.78. Top stock Telecom Corp Ltd was up 0.8 percent at NZ$3.92.
