Yes you were quite right with your earlier comment garyrm 1973.
What you have quoted for March 2006 and for July 2007 about them having the option to earn 100% in Lipichi is correct.
And what you indicated a few posts earlier about them having that option extended to January 2008 is correct.
What is unclear is what actually happened to that position.
Luzon did do a couple of placements during 2007 ( one of C$ 1m and later C$ 200k. However it does not seem to have a lot to show for it. I suspect a lot of it was to repay various debts.
As far as I know Luzon was not able to meet the requirement of having the money fot the option deal on Lipichi to be completed.
I could be wrong but I don't think Luzon has any tenements or options or rights to Lipichi.
It dipped out on its option with Vista Gold to buy Amayapampa back in August / September 2007.
So perhaps this legal action is just to drive the nails into the coffin and make RAU the obvious suitor to deal with for either Amayapampa and / or Lipichi.
As I have said before I think JK is pretty keen on Lipichi. But afew weeks ago I was pretty intrigued by the fact that Vista had a presence in Australia at Mt Todd in NT. And that the Vista CEO obviously worked pretty closely with JK over the Luzon merger attempt.
I am a bit surprised that they have gone for legal action considering the cost factor and the "distraction" that such things can cause but there is possibly an advantage to be gained apart from recouping the $2.2 million owed.
So ..... very interesting. JK's not such a softie after all ctindale ?????
