You are wrong about what ASIC looked into. If ASIC is as incompetent as AG & Co doesn't change the fact that continuous disclosure laws were breached. ASIC has never looked into the fact that continuous disclosure laws were breached by the directors.
BTW I made a complaint to ASIC many years ago regarding Anti-competitive agreements and warranty breaches of a supplier who didn't want us to advertise discounted prices. In the end I had to walk the Asic investigator though the laws and did 99% of his work before they required an undertaking from the supplier to make good. After that I never had much faith in ASIC to do their job properly.
