in my earlier trading life, i used to cling on the grim death, sometimes blinded by my original reasons for holding.
later, i now adopt a mantra, of = if in doubt get out.
if the thesis to which you originally bought has changed, then always re-assess, and ask if you would buy again today with the new status quo if you never had a position.
(put aside averaging, and ask if you would even go near it, until the picture was clarified)
