Really? I watched the same tv interview you are referencing and it didn't come across to me as being based on the gender card. More accurately it was based on how David who had already conceded that he didn't hear SHY's comment properly yet still thought he was entitled to attempt a slur on her sexual behaviour.
He "implied" something from what he partially heard.
