I'd call it market manipulation (read white collar crime) by broker/s and fund/s. It will be interesting to see the short sell figures for today which unfortunately take three days to be reported (that's collusion). Or there could even be insider trading or having information not available to the market until friday or monday when the FUM is reported for June. As plebian investors we just have to accept that we are pawns for the large players and if we are lucky we can occasionally pick up a few tit bits. Hold tight as it will rebound quite quickly when they have had their fun - at our expense.
