Let’s just blame him and move on to a glowing vision of the future. BTW, what’s happened with your prediction about SP skyrocketing after his departure? It went in the other direction.
Would like to know the real reason of his sacking anyway. Most probably- he didn’t want to run the company like a QLD property developer so Talbot replaced him with his own errand-boy- Wood.
MTN has a track record of negligence. These recent bags are probably just one of many buried, but not yet discovered, waste dumps. Be sure Margs & Bro are actively looking for the rest.
Let’s face it- no-one’s been treating MTN seriously for a while. Everyone knows this stock leaks before announcements, share price rises in most cases are a result of insider trading and IMO ASX sooner or later will put it on hold.
The real question is - did they ever have any real intention of mining, or was it just a way for some clever players to make money playing the market? Putting aside sensitivity of the region, we should ask these questions: do they have money to build the tunnel for the underground mine (or- will they have any chances to raise it?). Do they have any solutions for the lack of water problem?
They haven’t even made a formal application for a license to mine.
