NSH pretty much summed up what I have been tempted to post, but haven't really wanted to.
Conoco Phillips may look to squeeze out the minors, play the waiting game until they take whatever lowball offer CP throws at them.
The US companies really don't like upstart foreigners being involved in taking profits on their patch.
I have often wondered if GDN likewise weren't led down the same track, and their management were simply too incompetent, inexperienced and naive to spot the driller/casing co. giving them the run around.
