Being incapable of seeing the motivation does not preclude anyone from seeing what is patently NOT the motivation.
In that vein, it would be a very interesting response from the Lowy brothers to the assertion that they have never stamped their personal imprimatur on what they have done for a living these past three-and-a-half decades, and the way he will be able to fill that personal void is via a spin-off of an insignificant slither of the vast Westfield empire.
I suspect his ensuing roars of laughter will be able to be heard a few office blocks away.
There are surely a vast array of corporate options that Steven and Peter can pursue if they somehow feel that that they have not made their mark... but that a piddly little business idea like OMN is the one that is selected? Why?, I ask myself?

What will be of far greater interest me is why.
