With the release of great news fast approaching , it is interesting that the Quebec Government refers to the Authier Project as being in ' Valuation stage ' . We call it the DFS phase which is a time when the pure economics of a project come to the fore. I do like their wording though. Will the project be worth something ...or will it be worth nothing. At this point in time , I am clearly in the ' mining camp ' that says it will. There is no in between folks. You can't have a ' Half ' or a ' Quarter ' of a mining project. There is simply no shades of grey in between apart from the various steps and protocols needing to be taken and mutually agreed upon.
I have read in other posts and threads the importance of EBIT, however I will be looking to the fine details of the DFS for the potential accounting adjustments and policies including Tax which could enhance for better ; the economics of the Authier Project. This is why I put more value on the EBITDA calculations for most mining projects.
So its all about the DFS folks - at least initially in my opinion and so while we wait for the release of other relating and pending news, lets all embrace as we gather around the Authier Project at the town hall or in any other of the local community venues. And when the last consultation meetings finally conclude and the locals disband arm in arm off into the woods , let us all savor the moment while we listen to their cultural and historical chants - Vive le Quebec ! , Vive les habitants d'Amos ! , Vive less communautes de La Motte et de Preissac !. ...... And as the loud chants slowly drift off into the night......there is one last chant picked up by our BOD and echoing faintly from far off in the distance - I can just see the smile on Dan O'Neil's face as he joins in murmuring softly the chant - Vive Sayona Quebec et son projet Authier !! ....
