Taking a break, page-17

Reminds me of a story I heard over....a long time ago. Touring the country as a very young fella, got to south of Sydney, in a pub, to be regaled with tales of the effectiveness of using explosives to fish.

Lay the charges near the mouth of the river late arvo, take up an elevated position, watch the tides and sunset, wait for the schools of fish to approach the fresh to sea water crossover, and hit the plunger. Raining fish.

I have no idea if the tale was fair dinkum, but it was a very funny story, and well told (by a bunch of mates from a rugby league club).
