Ok I have owned several businesses in my time before and after the GST came in.
You still cant make foreign business collect GST, you cant do it unless they agree to it and they havent and Im all for them why should they spend tens of thousands of dollars doing the Australian governments work for them.
GST turned people into government tax collectors.
As for not stating gst well that is just plain wrong and I had a run in the ACCC over this so I know.
Quote a price in a newspaper article without declaring whether it includes GST or not and see if you dont get a letter off the ACCC.
Im all for importing without GST being charged, how many lots of GST do you think is enough.
What about all those goods sold on Gumtree???
