I am a gamer. Have been since I was 8 years with a Nintendo. I play online games with many of my friends and co workers. My co workers are airline pilots for various Airlines around South East Asia and have our own teams based on which airline we work for. So no, not all gamers are poor it's a hobby. Yes I spent $2500 upgrading my PC to play PUBG and once Mogal is fully running our Jetstar team will be participating in the tournament's. I also fly often to Bangkok, Singapore and Tokyo and have had a holiday in South Korea. Tournament gaming is astounding in its volume of participation in those countries. I firmly believe the business model is very sound and the participation in online gaming among professional working adults is much higher than most think. It's not relegated to just school and uni students.
