Singapore Airlines is up there in reputation for international flights, and if you have to stop at any Airport to get a connecting flight Singapore Airport is great. They even have great out door gardens where you are allowed to smoke.
Note sure if they still do it but they use to have free mini tours of the city for people that had longer waits for the connecting flight
