Sounds to me like your limited knowledge on the matter is referring only to the RCC..and maybe the the Anglicans. Taxing Churches (as if they haven't already made enough concessions to mere government) will only hurt the smaller ones and people they help. And the smaller one pretty much get by on donations, which have already been over taxed anyway. Just so the blobtits can feel good about 'sticking it to the Church', it's almost as pathetic as people supporting different income tax rates because they like to 'stick it to the rich'.
