Anyway - lynas is clever to have a weekend for preparation of counteractions, if the market doesn´t react as expected (and just in case, there is something to react on and sbd. wants to react on something within time - and not 6 weeks after, because a fitting safety hat is missing for the nice PR pictures).
... everything is better than a later (or too late) filing, that would have caused a "psychological momentum", as described below
http://100fstreet.com/index.php/2011/03/the-consequences-of-a-late-filing/
(there are newer papers on this topic, but no newer knowledge to gain)
What is proven for the US market, should be easily applicable for the ASX in this specific case ... the later the more anxious the investors get (and the earlier the better, if you analyse the atmosphere in the LYC threads here in HC).
And before somebody is laying words into my mouth, that i haven´t said: Lynas did not exceed any deadline and the Q-report for this quarter will be "in time as always" in calendar week 29. Everything else would have lead to negative speculations ... IMO
