The fact that a scientist changes his mind to protect a billion dollar industry comes as no surprise
Just thing that the Pharma lobby in the US spends about $250 mill a year to help scientists and politicians change their minds. I'm sure the sponsors of GM products would also be fairly active in the lobbying process
