As I and many others have stated - coal is dead and its use for electricity production will continue to decline.
If you bothered to study the AEMO report, you will find that it acknowledges that
production of electricity from coal fired power stations will DECREASE by 70% over the next 20 years
coals share of total power production will DECREASE from 40% of total to just 6% in 20 years time.
and that in 20 years time nearly every existing coal-fired power station will reach the end of its life, and AEMO does not expect new ones to be built to replace them.
