Dont think you have that right about the demographic. People subscribe through Foxtel and the main reason is to have access to movies etc. Of total Foxtel users only a small percentage would watch the news channels. Its too small a viewing audience to have much impact.
Furthermore in survey polling the ABC clearly comes out as the most trusted media in the land.
