sadly australia has been dealt a sad hand of cards - with a series of limp left wing prime ministers/premiers/governments.
putin has turned russia around from the weak post soviet break up, to a country that again is a country to be reckoned with. obviously a lot of the american elite/mic etc want to keep russia weak.
trump has seen where america has been heading - and his mantra of "drain the swamp" is probably close to the bone - but of course he will have to fight a real battle to drain the swamp. meanwhile trump has to cope with a silly/stupid meuller witch hunt - when the real crim was hrc.
both putin and trump would have to be considered RIGHT WING .. mal is probably only slightly to the right of shorten - but still totally stupidly left wing.
trump - pulling america out of the silly paris climate agreement showed leadership. russia seems to have signed up, but are probably not one of the countries who are going to be paying out their rubles . a quick look on the net, and it seems that russia was one of the last countries to sign up - but maybe they have not ratified the agreement in their own parliament (but could be wrong)
