    Hi Haemitite,

    BRM deposit is mainly detrital. In their case the majority of the silica is with chert or jasper, and the alumina with shale.

    Removal by crushing and screening could work, the silica would be captured by the large particle sizes wth the fines containing the majority of the iron.
