If there was an atomic bomb, it was the banking Royal Commission, because it sure created a lot of fallout. It's not unusual for companies to be reliant on single financiers. It can take time to build the relationships to have more at the ready. But who would have predicted the Royal Commission & the way it pulled the rug out from under so many businesses that rely on the availability of finance?
