MS prepared a report, borrowed and shorted the stock for clients, then must have covered most of the stock and closed the short positions. They may still have some short positions left which then can hold for a long time by using the profits from the trades already settled. The stock will rerate soon, nothing to be concerned about. It's a waiting game and who blinks first. Market values a stock based on future cash flow. At the moment POSCO deal is not closed yet. I will wait for it to close.
