Can’t say I’m surprised by this announcement. BoD we’re keen for the iCobalt play (which would have created more upside and control for them) but couldn’t get the SH support to make it happen, is my guess.
The fact MTC have been so silent for so long speaks volumes, to me anyway, that these guys play close to the line, and, are in it for themselves. Keep the market uninformed, let SP sink, accumulate then announce a new acquisition and strategic direction.
Can only be a good thing for SH’s is my guess but it’s a complete small cap spin of the dice as opposed to careful and considered research.
