just been looking at the price of westpac ( rumoured bidder ) compared to SUN.
SUN been declining in relative value to westpac for quite some time.
If westpac were to offer 4 Westpac for 5 SUN that would be about a 20% premium to the trend, that would be more acceptable than a cash offer I would expect.
Cash offer would not succeed, I don't think a hail storm and US problems amount to a permanent impairment of SUN's longer-term prospects.
