Clearly shorting has an impact on the price momentum. check out the short ratio on ORE, GXY and KDR all very much under heavy sell off. PLS is the only one recently when the short volume reduced aggressively as the price spike up until now.

In a way the price trends reflect the excuse needed for the shorting to continue whether it is company or sector specific. The current 65C swing low is definite on the cards by the shorters targeting that level as the most obvious stops are resting just below for those fortunate enough to be picking that ST low recently. If that low goes then the most logical level is 59-60.

Logically speaking at those levels, the massive paper profits of the LT bulls would be wiped clean which could imply prices can recover and reverse. Under the current climate where it "feels" like the whole EV sector is under attack, it would be very brave to be picking a bottom under the aggressive bearish momentum.
