Over on the Flinders forum (Brockman’s close  and similarly stranded neighbour) there seems to be some negativity  about delays as well as comment on the number of deals  BBI Group is doing with China SCEC.
I just asked if people there had any views on this story off ABC tonight ..

The key issue of this report seems to be that USA is a bit worried about China.
Indeed the fact China has claimed a Sri Lankan port in lieu of debt repayments has aggravated concerns about China’s growing trade ascendancy .
They link it back to it all being a subtle ploy to create military highways and byways (although I tend to believe that often it’s the military that is used in not  so subtle ploys to create commercial highways and byways )
Anyway if such tactics are being used (for whatever reasons)  Balla Balla is an ideal potential target.
But if such tactics are being used, why did Chinese-owned Brockman split from Chinese-associated BBI group ?
