Assuming the next 3 dividends will be the same as the the previous 3 dividends, then over the next 12 months, an ASW investor can expect to receive a total of 3 x $0.021 = $0.063 dividends fully franked.
At the last price of $0.75, this is a 12 month yield of 8.4% fully franked or 12% grossed up.
Chances are this sleepy company will still trade between $0.70 and $0.80 in 12 months time.
I've been holding since 2010 and whilst I admit its return hasn't been that spectacular, it is also far from being the worst contributor in my portfolio over these years. If in my mind, I treat ASW as a cash alternative, then I feel a little bit better because its dividend yield has been much greater than cash deposit rates but deep inside I know that I'm just fooling myself.
I'm looking forward to hearing more about Private Company Platform in the next report. Hopefully it can lead to a slightly more exciting times for ASW, and not fizzle out like typical corporate announcements.
