    "S&P increased its forecast for writedowns from subprime- mortgage securities to $285 billion. Still, the ratings firm said the end of writedowns is ``now in sight.''

    There you are, the guys that are responsible for this mess are now saying its all over.........PLEEEEEEEEZE!
